In an age of technological advancement, anyone can go to the store and buy a high-end camera costing thousands of dollars and become a 'photographer.' Bogged down by the chaos of the digital culture, I find myself drawn to the simpler techniques aimed at taking photos. I seem to be more interested in shooting film, as you may know, and even iPhone photos. Film and iPhone only photographer Kevin Russ has had a heavy influence on my view of photography, and where I want to go with it. I'm inspired by not obsessing over the quality of equipment you carry. I found my Canon A-1 35mm for 40 bucks years ago at a pawn shop, that still holds to be my favorite camera. While silently observing the digital age boom, I take time to notice the people who care more about being in the moment, rather than how many photos they can shoot, and the equipment they choose to shoot with. Here are some iPhone photos I have taken over the past couple months that refresh my approach to what I am most interested in. Enjoy.
